Talking Diversion with Crime Time

This week, we had the very special honor of having our own Lula Kelly, Program Manager of the Taking Root Diversion Program, speak alongside Assistant Commonwealth Attorney of Fairfax County Commonwealth Attorney’s Office, Mayo Wilson on the local podcast Crime Time. For the past 18 months, OAR has worked with Wilson’s office to divert justice-involved individuals in Fairfax who have committed non-violent offenses away from jail terms and into the OAR Taking Root program.  As Ms. Kelly explains, the program is tailored to the needs of the client with the OAR framework of addressing root causes.
